The images I make tend to come from the books that I read, the obsessions that I have at the time, symbolism from poetry or lyric. The majority of my self-directed projects are publishing briefs and so an important part of my research is amassing a well-rounded knowledge of descriptive imagery in literature as well as developing a visual language to translate it.
