Laura Starkey

I use a variety of analogue techniques such as collage, printmaking and painting to create thought provoking illustrations. I have eclectic interests which include vintage motifs and found ephemera that evoke a nostalgic tone. These subsequently feed into my work to form strong decorative elements as well as a distinctive colour palette. I employ a variety of methods such as layering and juxtaposition of imagery, which creates jarring tension, together with visual metaphor.
