The work I do stems from a decision made as a teenager to explore what would happen if I drew in a way that valued expression over technique. My practise centres around doodling, allowing my subconscious to throw unexpected shapes upon the page. I love to get my hands dirty in words, and this also forms the basis of many of my drawings, as well as the music I make as Hardsparrow.
I am greatly influenced by Vic & Bob, Tove Jansson, Jan Svankmajer, Eduardo Paolozzi, Sanrio, Dick Bruna and people dressed as dogs playing organs.
